VocalSynth 2 is an immersive vocal experience that adapts and evolves with your unique style and opens up a world of 
vocal possibilities.
VocalSynth 2 has had a complete overhaul from VocalSynth 1; improvements can be noticed throughout nearly all of the plugin. iZotope have listened and taken on board their customers needs by adding and updating different features allowing the user to enhance all aspects of their recorded sound; from vocals to instruments. The improved sound quality, deeper controls and additional parameters work together to allow the user to really stylise the sound to exactly how they want it. VocalSynth 2 has enhanced CPU performance meaning the user is better protected against overloads and optimises the plugins overall performance.
The first difference the user will notice is the new beautifully designed interface with the addition of the Anemone which appears in the centre of their screen. This fun animation changes as you add or takeaway modules and is also fully interactional allowing the user to move the sliders directly on the Anemone, which in turn makes changes on your main settings.
VocalSynth 2’s 5 blendable modules; Biovox, Vocoder, Compuvox, Talkbox and Polyvox give the user deeper control and customisation. From classic to techno or richness to funky sounds, each module includes numerous features to enhance and create different sounds to sculpt the human character of your voice to your own requirements.
A brand new module to come with VocalSynth 2 is Biovox; which uses scientific modelling of a human vocal tract to create depth and smoothness. From here the user can enhance characteristics like, nasality, breathiness and even change the performance from bright to brooding. In addition to this the user has access to advanced controls which allow changes such as, vowel structure, within a particular sentence or word.
Vocoder – creates a sound you know and love with the ability to create something new; the indispensable favourite from VocalSynth 1.
Compuvox – creates a glitchy, computerised or space age sound.
Talkbox – creates a funky unmistakable sound.
Polyvox – creates beautiful sounds and rich harmonies; allowing you to add instant body to your vocals.
VocalSynth 2 features 7 new and improved Stompbox Style and Effects; and as requested by fans now gives the user the ability to drag, drop and rearrange modules to order how they want.
Additions include:
Chorus affect; adds a dreamy richness and depth to the vocals.
Ring Modulator; doubles as a unique tremolo (underwater) like effect.
Users of VocalSynth 1 will know of the Shred effect; this has been completely rebuilt allowing the user to slice, move and sequence audio effectively. Shred is not only great for vocals but something to use on instrumental sound also, to create a whole new and unique sound.
One of the best updates of the VocalSynth 2 is the Interplugin Communication capabilities that allow existing Neutron 2 and Ozone 8 customers to work between plugins as they now seamlessly work with each other. VocalSynth 2 can be seen within Neutron’s Visual Mixer and Tonal Balance Control allowing the user to control loudness, panning and width of any VocalSynth 2 session from Neutron 2’s visual mixer. Finally, the user can select VocalSynth 2 in Tonal Balance Control which lets the user gain an insight into how the vocals contribute to the overall tonal balance of their mix.
VocalSynth 2 has been created in a way that gives the user three different modes; Auto, Midi and Side Chain, to interact with the plugin.
Auto – Lock your vocals and seamlessly blend your module settings
Midi – Best used to control your pitch and allows you to effortlessly create custom vocal harmonies
Side Chain – Rather than using the synthesizer within VocalSynth 2, add your own audio to create unique new sounds.
Choose the style that appeals to you; each one includes helpful in-app instructions to get the user up and running with ease.
