The MEQM-5 is the mastering version of Pultec’s popular MEQ-5 midrange equalizer. Like Pultec’s other mastering products, the potentiometers have been replaced with custom taper 21-position precision rotary switches providing enhanced control and reproducibility of settings.
The Pulse Techniques MEQM-5 is completely identical to the original units made 60 years ago and features the same three-band designs offering complete control of the midrange. With two low-mid and high-mid peaks and 1 midrange dip, the Pultec MEQM-5 is capable of sculpting the midrange with broad struck to remove unwanted frequencies and provide creamy and silky character to your music.
The Pulse Techniques MEQM-5 is an exact reissue of the original EQ, designed over 50 years ago with no compromise or “enhancement” of the original.
