Neumann's TLM 193 is a large diaphragm microphone with a cardioid polar pattern. It delivers high end technology at a low price for any home recording studio or musician, continuing a long legacy of affordable, reliable Neumann microphones.

The TLM 193 uses a transformerless circuit, offering unbelievably low self noise and wide dynamic range.  Transformerless circuitry enables a high degree of linearity and a large dynamic range.

The polar response is incredibly linear over a varied incidence angle. This means that the TLM is comfortable handling signals coming from the side, accurately replicating them without colouration. The exposed surface of the microphone capsule is at ground potential, making it totally resistant to typical interference and contamination. Additionally, a swivel mount is included with the mic.

The TLM 193's self noise level is considerably reduced when contrasted with other microphones, as it's capable of handling sound pressure levels up to 140 dB without distortion and offers a dynamic range of 130 dB (A-weighted). The frequency response of the TLM 193 amplifier is linear down to 20 Hz. Even very low bass signals are reproduced without colouration.

  • Large diaphragm cardioid microphone
  • Pressure-gradient transducer
  • Transformerless circuitry
  • Extremely low noise: 10 dB (A)
  • Includes swivel mount
  • The "plug and play" microphone for professional studios, musicians and homerecording applications
  • High-quality professional equipment for mid-size budgets
