Manley Massive Passive Stereo EQ
Professional Stereo Four-Band EQ with additional high pass and low pass filters
The Massive Passive is Manley's beefy EQ. The stereo four-band Equalizer with additional high and low pass filters creates a sound like nothing else and will add that richness that you've always desired but never been able to create! The all passive, metal only film resistorsm capacitors and hand-wound inductors produce a sound that has to be heard to be believed.
Manley's Massive Passive is an equalisation behemoth. The extreme shaping needed for the rigorous sessions as well as the gentle, nuanced shadings needed for vocals and mastering are all well within its wheelhouse. This EQ harnesses the best assets of Pultec-style equalisers as well as choice console, parametric, and graphic EQs. Only utilising preeminent components for its ultimately colossal, high-headroom performance, the 2-channel 4-band Massive Passive delivers exceptional sculpting abilities, without the colouration. The Massive Passive is intended to provide all the EQ you’ll ever need, and succeeds.
Although different in nature, the Massive Passive’s 2-channel 4-band design offers a marvellous amount of sonic shaping. Amalgamating the strengths of Pultecs, choice console EQs, graphic equalisers and parametrics, it doesn't cast colour across the track. The Manley Massive Passive is ready to capitalise on and magnify whatever you throw at it, whether that means getting creative, or logical and surgical.
No shortcuts were taken with the design of the Massive Passive, as we’ve come to expect from Manley. There's no unnecessarily complicated circuit. Massive only deploys metal film resistors, film capacitors and hand-wound inductors to form the sound and only uses basic passive components. Thanks to its more natural design, you can expect a natural tone.
Packed with five highpass filters and four lowpass filters, you can bypass either or both. The Manley Massive Passive’s filters are steep, so you can pull out the excess without touching the real music. It's also great-sounding when combined with other bands.
