G-Technology have announced a family of new thunderbolt 3 SSDs at NAB 2018.  The range includes a Mobile SSD, Desktop SSD and 8-Bay transportable SSD RAID solution.

The GSPEED Shuttle SSD is a scorchingly fast RAID powerhouse in either 8TB or 16TB configurations with transfer speeds up to 2800MB/s.  The 8-Bay Shuttle has a built-in hardware RAID controller that ships configured in RAID 5 for maximum performance but is easily changed to RAID 0, 1, 10 or 50 – providing a versatile and flexible storage solution.  Dual thunderbolt 3 ports allow you to daisy-chain up to five additional devices so you can stay connected to multiple drives, 4K displays and more through a sinlge connection to your computer.  The GSPEED Shuttle SSD has been designed for multi-stream 4K, 8K and VR production workflows with enough bandwidth to support milti-camera editiing in real time.  As with the entire GSPEED Shuttle range, the SSD version features a transportable design meaning traveling between location to the studio is a breeze.

Next up, the new G-Drive Pro SSD is an all aluminium desktop SSD available in either 960GB or 1.92TB capacities.   Again, dual thunderbolt 3 ports on the back allow daisy-chaining to your hearts content.  The G-Drive Pro SSD can also achieve up to 2800MB/s transfer speeds making it ideal for intensive production schedules – in real terms that equates to as much as a terabyte of content transferred in seven minutes or less!  The G-Drive Pro SSD is backed by G-Technology’s 5-year limited warranty.

Completing the new range of SSDs is the G-Drive Mobile Pro SSD, this lightweight, durable beast achieves the same lightning fast speeds as its big brothers but in an enclosure that fits in your pocket.  The single thunderbolt 3 port provides both power and data transfer and the cool, aluminium core prevents overheating and maintains performance.  The G-Drive Mobile Pro SSD is shock-resistant, the durable case provides a 3-metre drop protection and a 1000lb crush-proof rating so you really can take it anywhere.  This mobile SSD is available in either 500GB or 1TB.
