As unusually good-looking as it is sonically imposing, the 8330A Smart Active Monitor (SAM) makes good use of Genelec’s Acoustically Concealed Woofer (ACW) technology combined with the Minimum Diffraction Enclosure (MDE) driver and Directivity Control Waveguide (DCW) to produce extremely controlled directivity over a very wide bandwidth. Every element of this monitor is sculpted to polish your listening experience. Maxing out at 104 dB, the 8330A has a 45Hz – 23kHz (-6dB) frequency response. Its 5” woofer and ¾” tweeter are both 50W and the monitor weighs 5.5kg. The monitor’s performance also remains identical in both vertical and horizontal orientations, ensuring true accuracy.

The 8330A SAM utilises cutting-edge AutoCal technology to create an optimised and regulated monitoring environment, and are controlled by the proprietary Genelec Loudspeaker Manager (GLM) 2.0 software. Monitoring set-ups stretching from basic stereo to immersive audio can be consistently executed, after automatically calibrating and compensating for deficiencies in the listening environment.
