KUMO 12G-SDI routers support large format resolutions, high frame rate (HFR) and deep color formats while reducing cable counts when transporting 4K/UltraHD over a single SDI link. The routers offer network-based and physical control using KUMO CP and CP2 and mirror the physical form of AJA’s production-proven KUMO 6464 routers, with a USB port for configuring IP addresses via AJA’s free eMini-Setup software.

Powerful Signal Management
KUMO 6464-12G's powerful cross-point routing matrix maps any input to any number of outputs without the need for additional patch panels or distribution amplifiers.
As 8K and 4K/UltraHD workflows continue to be adopted, KUMO 6464-12G can meet this need. KUMO 12G-SDI routers offer single-link cable connectivity for 4K/UltraHD and, with a simple setting change, can be configured for ganged dual link or quad link routing allowing users to group together multiple inputs and outputs for 8K workflows. This allows routing of raw or 8K or 4K/UltraHD signals for virtual production, live events, OB trucks, or post facilities.
Compact Routing
The KUMO family of compact SDI routers provides powerful signal control and support full broadcast specifications over 12G-SDI, 6G-SDI, 3G-SDI, HD-SDI and SD-SDI, with quality that exceeds SMPTE specifications. The super-compact 1RU, 2RU, and 4RU formats are just a few inches deep, making them a perfect fit for any broadcast, production, or post production environment, from mobile sports trucks and edit suites, virtual production, corporate video installations, or live theatrical A/V rigs.
No fans are used in the KUMO routers, enabling installation in environments that require silent operation such as on-set, audio booths and operating rooms.
Salvo Simplicity
Salvos allow an operator to quickly route a predefined set of crosspoints, connecting specific sources to destinations, at the push of a button. Salvos are easily created by simply setting up the desired routes and saving it to a button in the KUMO router’s Web UI.
Up to eight salvos can be stored in a KUMO router and can be instantly recalled via the KUMO router’s Web UI, GVG Native Protocol over ethernet, RS-422, and the AJA KUMO CP2 Salvo buttons.
