Cedar Audio ADA

The CEDAR ADA A/D and D/A Converter is a stereo, 24-bit, 96kHz 1U rackmount unit that produces an AES/EBU or SPDIF digital audio output from a balanced or unbalanced analogue stereo audio input, and a stereo balanced or unbalanced output from an incoming AES/EBU or SPDIF digital input signal.

Designed to complement CEDAR's award-winning Series X, Series X+ and DNS1000 hardware modules, as well as the new CEDAR Cambridge system, the ADA offers four 'sync' modes, professional and consumer formats, emphasis on/off, user-selectable input levels of up to 27dBu, and a maximum output level of +24dBu.

With both professional (XLR) and consumer (phono) analogue inputs and outputs, the ADA is particularly suitable for making CEDAR's DCX declicker, CRX decrackler and DHX dehisser useable in almost all analogue or digital environments.

Offering a dynamic range of greater than 110dB, and a signal to noise ratio of better than 109dBfs, the CEDAR ADA is suitable for all but the very most demanding converter tasks. And, at its attractive price, it offers an excellent price/performance ratio.
