Antelope Audio

Antelope Audio | ESV

Antelope Audio is a French manufacturer of industry leading clocking and convertor equipment.  Its founder, Igor Levin, first established a company in 1990 called Aardvark which released a S/PDIF card for PC and separate AD and DA convertors to work with the card.  Despite the popularity of this system, it was in fact the digital clock that was created to clock these two converters that gave Aardvark its reputation.  After the success of the subsequent Aardsync, Levin setup Antelope Audio to develop and engineer high quality standalone audio clocks and digital converter systems.

Antelope Audio have pioneered several technologies in the area of clocking since their inception in 2004, the most notable of which is the Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillator.  By keeping the crystal oscillator, which is the epicentre of the clock, within an enclosure, Antelope Audio were able to maintain an even temperature around the crystal which considerably improves the stability and jitter performance.

Antelope Audio have a number of different lines with different functionality.  The Isochrome range represents Antelopes master clock range; ‘iso’ means constant and ‘chrome’ means time.  The aforementioned Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillator can be found in the Isochrome OCX and OCX-V models.  There is also a range of AD/DA converters in the form of the Eclipse 384, Orion 32, Zen Studio audio interface and Pure2 convertor and clock system.  The final part of the Antelope Audio pro-audio offering is its analogue signal processors, which includes the Satori, a high end monitoring controller.

If you are looking for high end conversion and world class master clocking systems, look no further.
