The Apogee ONE is a compact USB audio interface designed for iPad and iMac. With two inputs, two outputs and two microphone preamps with the renown Apogee AD conversion, the Apogee ONE offers the small home studio or travelling musician/producer the opportunity to record audio at a professional studio level.
This new version of the ONE builds on the innovation of its predecessor released in 2009 and not only expands its connectivity but also its compatibility to iOS devices. In addition, it offers faster USB connectivity, high quality AD/DA conversion up to 24bit/96kHz, additional power options and improved build quality.
The Apogee ONE - Power in a small package.
The Apogee ONE maintains its small footprint by using a breakout cable for its connectivity. The breakout cable features an XLR connection for microphones and a 1/4 balanced jack connection for instruments. It also has a studio-quality condenser microphone built into it so there is no need for an external microphone when tracking vocals, guitar or other instruments on the fly.
The Apogee ONE is the only portable audio interface that actually charges iOS devices while pluged in but can also be battery powered for use on the road. In addition, it can act as a DAC between your iPhone or iPad and your headphones or powered speakers. Other features of the Apogee ONE include input/output indicators and level meters, a multifunction controller knob for function select and input/output level control, an mini-jack connection for headphone or speaker output, an input for the breakout cable and a USB connection for Mac USB, iOS Lightning and iOS 30-pin cables, all of which are included in the box. It also works seamlessly with a wide range of iOS apps including Apogee Maestro and Garageband.
"The Apogee One sounds excellent, and virtually identical to the Duet for iPad & Mac, in listening tests over both headphones and active desktop studio monitors."- PC Mag
"If you're a musician or podcaster after a more flexible interface that works with both a Mac and compatible iOS device—and that additionally supports two inputs and sports a good (but not outstanding) microphone—the One for Mac and iPad is well worth your consideration"- Mac World
"The Apogee ONE is a serious recording tool that’s small enough to bring anywhere. If audio quality is not something you’re willing to budge on and you want to be very portable, then this is the interface for you."- Technology Tell
